Business Partnerships Canada is a joint project of Alleyne Inc. and pixcode.

The day-to-day management basis, administration, and moderation (where required) is maintained by pixcode, in conjunction with their other websites such as the Canada Events Calendar and Natural Healthcare Canada.

Vision: The concept of a Business Networking website specifically targeted to Canadian entrepreneurs originated with Gisela McKay (see Ms. McKay's BPC profile page here), designed to open her personal network of experts to others and to create virtual brainstorming and support team right across the country that would benefit all participants.

Masterminds: One of the key wishes was that the site provide information about Masterminds, Success Networks, and other types of creative intelligence alliances so that each entrepreneur can find the right people and the right format for themselves. The site also allows you to indicate your interest in forming a mastermind group in your area, so that other members can search for those individuals and meet with them to determine whether they are a good match. Lastly, the site also allows for each group to have a private, centralized location to post and track event happenings and minutes, for all members to be able to look back at commitments and past activities.

Connecting: Over the years, the site has moved from a purely online networking format, to hosting monthly seminars/networking events with topics of interest to small business owners. These events, in the Toronto area, are called "Learn at L'espresso" after the restaurant in which the events are held. Past topics have included: the Art of Business Etiquette, Dreams, Visions, and Plans: Distinguish between them and create an executable plan, and The Experts Guide to FREE Publicity.

Promote yourself: On top of all of this, the site allows you, the small business owner, to create a free business profile, easily accessible to search engine, and link back to your own website to raise your own site's position.
